Mount Stuart Residents Inc. (known as Mount Stuart Progress Association Inc until 31 December 2014) is incorporated under the Tasmanian State Government Associations Incorporation Act. This Act allows community organisations to operate with limited financial liability, and provides a corporate identity.
The principal objective of the Mount Stuart Residents Inc is to act as a networking and supporting agent for all members of the Mount Stuart community. The regular newsletter is our principal and regular means of networking.
The main activity of the the Association is to support the residents of the suburb, keep a watch on our parks and roads and work to upgrade them, and keep everyone in touch with what is happening throughout the suburb.
Committee Meetings
The Mount Stuart Residents Inc committee meets at 7:30 pm on the fourth Thursday of the month, at the Mount Stuart Hall, with the Annual General Meeting held in March each year.
Residents of Mount Stuart are most welcome to attend committee and Annual General Meetings.
